Beautiful Weather

I am involved in the PTA at Mariah's school (so involved that I stepped up to be VP next school year). Our current President asked if anyone could cut a hole in the plywood board to change it from a wet sponge throwing at the Prinicipal game to a bean bag toss. I offered Brent's services (what a wonderful wife huh?) and she said that she would pick it up to paint it when he is done. I asked what she was going to paint on it. She said she was just going to use some leftover paint and splatter different colors on it. I pictured neon colors from the 80's and volunteered to paint it myself. That is a huge problem since I am not an artist AT ALL! I cheated slightly by printing off some clipart pictures and enlarging them to an 11x17 piece of paper. However, that only gave me the outside to trace and the painting was up to me and the snake was all free handed. The board turned out very well and I am very imressed by my work. If anyone wants me to come and paint a mural on their walls just let me know! Ha ha!
I spy with my little eye.....a Mariah!

Trent was so good the day I painted the board. We were outside all day with Mariah's softball practice and painting the board. He fell asleep in the playpen in the garage. He LOVES it outside.
I know the playpen is not the most masculine colors but it was a hand-me-down and free so I can complain.

An update!

He didn't like cereal to say the least.

Isn't he so sweet?

Mariah wanted to sleep in this box so, being the very COOL mom that I am, I let her sleep in there not one but two nights!

Trent moved up into an older class at church a few weeks ago. He is now in the 4-7 months class. When Brent and I picked him up Brent asked if I saw where he was. I looked around the room and saw that he was in an excersaucer (or however you spell it). I gasped and said "Oh no!" The nursery worker looked at me kind of worried and asked if he wasn't supposed to be in there. I told her that I was denying the fact that he was getting big enough to be in one of those. Brent said to me "I've been telling you that he is big enough to go in there." I broke down and got the jumparoo and walker down out of the attic. He doesn't care for the walker but LOVES the jumparoo!

After the shower I put him on the bed so I could get dressed and he got so focused on the TV and I thought it was so precious.
